The survey was conducted in four regions: Dodoma, Dar es Salaam, Singida and Shinyanga. The validation used the field survey method for the collection of qualitative and quantitative cross-sectional information using observation, Key Informants Interviews (KIIs) and individual interviews. It included interviewing key sunflower value chain actors. These were government officials, processors associations, aggregators, traders, and processors. Additionally, a market survey in supermarkets, wholesale, and retail points was conducted.
