SUGECO members

The Sokoine University Graduate Entrepreneurs Cooperation (SUGECO) was established July 2011 under the Tanzania Cooperative Act (2003) registration No. MGR. 620, with the aim of encouraging and enhancing Graduates from SUA to start their own business after graduating, particularly in the agricultural sector. The Cooperation was established under the guidance of Dr. Anna Temu a Senior Lecturer at theCollege of Economics and Business Studies(COEBS) of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) Morogoro

 

Currently SUGECO has over 500 members from which 100+ are actively engaged in various agribusiness entrepreneurial activities such as milk processing, fruits and vegetable processing, rice processing, juice making, bee keeping, goat fattening, horticulture farming, rabbit and poultry farming and micro finance firm development and many others.
