Policy Analysis Group (PAG) is a group of policy analysts from Institutions, Organizations and Developing Partners who are working to advocate for policy reforms in the agricultural sector to improve the business environment and increase investment.
Dr. Zena Mpenda from Department of Food and Resource Economics (DeFRE), School of Agricultural Economics and Business Studies (SAEBS) contribute on better communication strategies for the reforms originated from the empirical evidence, as well as plans for the coming Annual Agricultural Policy Conference (AAPC) to PAG members.
This time round from 16th to 17th September, PAG organized a two days Annual retreat workshop in Arusha aimed at reviewing recent policy reforms as well as developing various strategies to continue doing research and influence to improve the investment opportunities in the agricultural sector. TAHA as one of the members of PAG had the opportunity to host the workshop. One among the key agenda discussed in the workshop was on building a common understanding to encourage investments into agriculture with increased participation from the private sector.
